Tour Details

The Northern Harmony Safari is a perfectly balanced eight-day journey across Tanzania’s most captivating landscapes, blending wildlife, scenery, and culture into one seamless adventure.

Your experience begins at Arusha National Park, a beautiful introduction to Tanzania’s biodiversity, featuring lush rainforests, Mount Meru views, and a chance to see giraffes, colobus monkeys, and flamingos. Continue to Tarangire, home of giants — elephants and baobabs — before exploring the lush forests of Lake Manyara. Then venture into the vast Serengeti plains, where the Great Migration unfolds and predators roam freely.

After marveling at the Ngorongoro Crater’s natural amphitheater of wildlife, you’ll end your journey at Lake Eyasi, where the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes reveal a timeless way of life. This itinerary captures the full rhythm of Tanzania — wild, peaceful, and profoundly human.

    Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Arusha → Arusha National Park

After arrival and briefing, embark on a half-day safari in Arusha National Park. Explore the park’s contrasting habitats — from the lush forests on Mount Meru’s slopes to the open grasslands of the Momella Lakes.

Enjoy sightings of giraffes, zebras, flamingos, and playful black-and-white colobus monkeys. For the adventurous, a short guided nature walk or canoeing (optional) adds a unique twist. Dinner and overnight at a lodge in Arusha.

Day 2Arusha → Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, where sweeping savannahs dotted with giant baobabs await. The Tarangire River acts as a lifeline for hundreds of animals, attracting massive elephant herds, wildebeest, zebras, and predators.

Spend the day exploring the park’s beautiful landscapes and observing its rich wildlife. After a picnic lunch, continue your game drive until evening. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp inside or near the park.

Day 3Tarangire → Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park’s contrasting scenery includes tropical forests, open plains, and the shimmering lake where thousands of flamingos feed.

Enjoy a relaxed game drive, looking out for tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, and countless birds. After lunch and an afternoon drive, head to your lodge near the park for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4Lake Manyara → Serengeti National Park

Depart after breakfast for Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro highlands. Stop briefly for panoramic views of the crater before descending to the vast Serengeti plains.

Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive across the central Serengeti, famous for its resident big cats and endless herds of grazing animals. Dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge in the Serengeti.

Day 5Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Spend the day exploring the Serengeti’s rich wildlife areas. Early morning and late afternoon drives offer the best light and activity for photography.

Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Migration, where wildebeest and zebras move in search of greener pastures. In between drives, relax at your camp or enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild. Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti.

    Day 6Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, enjoy one last Serengeti game drive en route to Ngorongoro. Upon arrival, descend into the crater — one of the most spectacular wildlife sanctuaries on Earth.

Spend several hours game viewing in the crater floor, where lions, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos coexist in incredible density. Have lunch beside a hippo pool before ascending the rim in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at a lodge near the crater.

Day 7Ngorongoro → Lake Eyasi (Cultural Experience)

After breakfast, drive to Lake Eyasi for a fascinating cultural day. Visit the Hadzabe tribe, hunter-gatherers who live much like their ancestors, hunting small game and gathering wild fruits.

Later, meet the Datoga blacksmiths and witness their unique metalworking traditions. This authentic encounter offers deep insight into Tanzania’s living heritage. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp near the lake.

    Day 8Lake Eyasi → Arusha

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning with optional walks or local interactions before departing for Arusha. Drive through picturesque rural landscapes and arrive by late afternoon.

Your Northern Harmony Safari concludes upon arrival — leaving you with lasting memories of wildlife, landscapes, and cultures harmoniously intertwined.
