    Itinerary

Day 1Arusha → Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure begins with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its towering baobab trees and vast elephant herds. Enjoy game drives through open savannah and along the Tarangire River, which attracts diverse wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, lions, and countless bird species.

Pause for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park before continuing your afternoon exploration. By evening, arrive at your lodge or tented camp inside or near the park, where dinner and overnight await under the African stars.

Day 2Tarangire → Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National Park, a lush, green paradise nestled along the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Begin your game drive immediately upon entering the park, where you’ll find elephants wandering through the forests and baboons playing along the roadside.

The park’s famous tree-climbing lions and pink-hued flamingos create unforgettable photographic opportunities. After a full day of exploration, head to your lodge or camp near the lake for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3Lake Manyara → Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro highlands en route to Serengeti National Park, the crown jewel of Tanzania’s wildlife sanctuaries. You’ll stop at a viewpoint on the crater rim before entering the Serengeti plains by midday.

Enjoy a picnic lunch and an afternoon game drive across the vast savannah. Watch for lions resting in the shade, leopards draped on acacia branches, and cheetahs scanning for prey. Dinner and overnight in the heart of the Serengeti, where the sounds of the wilderness lull you to sleep.

Day 4Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Spend this day exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti. With both morning and afternoon game drives, you’ll witness nature in its purest form — from grazing antelopes and wildebeest to stealthy predators.

Depending on the season, you may catch the spectacular Great Migration — one of the world’s most breathtaking natural events. Between drives, relax at your lodge or camp and soak in the raw beauty of this world-famous ecosystem.

    Day 5Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive as you leave the Serengeti behind and head to Ngorongoro. Descend 600 meters into the crater for an incredible wildlife experience on the crater floor.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site shelters lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, and the rare black rhino — all within a single, breathtaking landscape. After a picnic lunch by a hippo pool, ascend the crater rim and transfer to your lodge overlooking this natural wonder.

Day 6Ngorongoro → Mto wa Mbu Cultural Village → Arusha

After breakfast, descend from the highlands to Mto wa Mbu village, where Tanzania’s diverse cultures converge. Take a guided walking tour to meet local artisans, taste banana beer, and explore traditional farms. It’s a beautiful opportunity to interact with locals and understand rural Tanzanian life.

Enjoy lunch in the village before returning to Arusha in the late afternoon — marking the end of your Legends of the Northern Circuit Safari.
